Colossians 1:1-12

(Colossians 1:1-12) 『 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,   Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,   For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;   Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth: As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.   For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might...

Colossians 1:13-14

(Colossians 1:13-14) 『 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 』 Salvation is the favor to come from dark power. The Hebrew people were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt. They lived as slaves. We are also slaves to the world before we are saved. If we are in darkness, we cannot escape from the world. If we are in darkness, we are slaves to the world to live. That are bound by the power of darkness. Those who are in darkness come to church and worship hard, but nothing has changed. Many church members today are bound by the power of darkness, but they think they are in bright light. Rather, they pray for God to help them live well in the world. God told Moses to let my people worship. The reason God created man was not to work, but to worship. Today, however, attention is focused on the things of this world rather than worship. All attention ...

Colossians 2:6-7

(Colossians 2:6-7) 『 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 』 The word Christ is Lord is used in the Bible "two meanings." The word “ Jehovah is also translated the Lord " or the "Master". So it comes out mixed. Here, it means that the Lord is the Master, not the Lord. The Bible says it is our Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus becomes our master, the work of Christ begins. God buys "the repentant" at the cost of Christ, "makes Jesus Lord," and forgives sin. "buying a sinner" is redemption. In Colossians 1:13-14 『 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:   In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 』 Redemption means "God bought a sinner." Buy and wash away sins. In Acts 2:36, ...

Colossians 2:8-12

(Colossians 2:8-12) 『 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 』 Here, philosophy does not mean the philosophy of the world, but the idea of the law of the Jews. At the time the Apostle Paul was active, the Jews had three Pharisees, Sadducees, and Essenes, which they claim. The apostle Paul said these are "philosophy, vain deception, human inheritance, and the world's elementary school." The inheritance of man means the inheritance of eld...

Colossians 2:13-15

(Colossians 2:13-15) 『 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;   Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;   And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 』 The Apostle Paul describes circumcision from the Old Testament in Colossians in connection with Christ. He said that Christ's circumcision is to take off the bodies of fleshly sins. Undressing means death in the Bible. When a person takes off the tabernacle of the flesh, he must wear the tabernacle in heaven. That is salvation. Christ's circumcision is to shed the old man. It means the death of an old man. And he said, ``Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 』...

Colossians 2:16-23

(Colossians 2:16-23) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:   Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.   Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,   And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.   Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,   (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?   Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. T...

Colossians 3:1-4

(Colossians 3:1-4) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 『 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, ” To die is buried with Christ. So, God resurrects the dead with Christ. 『 By resurrection, we are born again. 』 Through the resurrection of Jesus, those who believe are also born again. Many church people think of regeneration as a mental action. So they think they have to do something hard to reach the holy state. If you think so, you will only build up your own righteousness. However, being born again refers to the spiritual body that was received as a parent and crucified with Jesus on the cross and reborn from heaven. Being born again means a spiritual body. This ...
